Kali ini Designer House Antonio Banderas kembali mengeluarkan varian terbaru (successor) dari seri Blue Seduction yaitu Blue Cool Seduction -sebelumnya telah ada Fresh Seduction.

Seperti yang umum ditemukan, bahwa suatu successor pasti akan tetap mempunyai ciri khas dari parfum pendahulunya (predecessor), with a bit of tweak/alter to give a new sensation, this could be for good or for worse…

Theres many reasons why brand designer do this kinda things, here’s several that pops in my head :
• The predecessor had gain huge success for years, but the brand designer wanted to offer newer version
• Theres many reviews out there criticizing the former, “i think if they could put down the melon notes a bit”, “its lack of freshness”, “to fruity to my taste”, etc
• They didnt want to take a risk to innovate (the time, the cost, the obstacle, etc) and create something new, its easier to make a successor, it’s bulletproof, to make them easy money….

Okay, before we fell to the Conspiracy Theory, let’s begin the journey to reveal what this successor has to offer, compared to its predecessor….

Antonio Banderas Blue Cool Seduction dimulai dengan nuansa kesegaran yang frosting aquatic hasil paduan Amalfi Lemon, Mint dan Water Notes, membuat saya merasa Energize dan ingin menghirupnya lebih dalam – Intoxicating. Biasanya saya kurang menyukai note mint, namun pada top notes semuanya saling melengkapi, ide yang cemerlang memadukan citrus dari lemon (bukan bergamot atau citrus jenis lain) dengan water notes dan mint. Selain itu, ada aroma melon yang begitu lembut mengiringi dari heart notes. Jika dibandingkan pada top notes antara Blue Seduction dengan Blue Cool Seduction, maka jelas sekali bahwa Blue Cool Seduction pemenangnya… I have to say, this is very well executed, good job Antonio….

Heart Notes pun dimulai dengan menyeruakkan nuansa fruity yang sedikit spicy paduan dari Melon, Geranium, Pepper, ya, ciri khas utama dari seri Blue Seduction adalah nuansa fruity melon yang begitu kental dan menggoda, very delicious…. Several of my customers who bought Blue Seduction kind of hate the heart notes, because it’s too melony…. they sometimes cant bear the fruity sweetness… Blue Cool Seduction seakan menjawab keinginan ini dengan mengurangi intensitas aroma melon dan memadukannya dengan nuansa floral dari geranium dan spicy yang light dari pepper serta amalfi lemon yang lingered from top notes… Aromatic, Relaxing dan Fruity… Pada Heart Notes ini, lagi-lagi Blue Cool Seduction pemenangnya… The Score so far 2-0 for Blue Cool Seduction….

Basenotes terdiri dari Oak moss dan Virginia, namun walaupun notes utama berupa woody yang lembut masih menyisakan nuansa kesegaran citrus dan fruity dari amalfi lemon dan melon, dapat dikatakan serupa dengan Blue Seduction, hasil pada Basenotes ini adalah… On Par.

Kesan yang didapatkan dari pengguna Antonio Banderas Blue Cool Seduction ini adalah pria muda yang energik, optimis, tegas, brave, atletis, protective, dingin namun setia dan Quite a Lover. Imagine Kellan Lutz as Emmet Cullen in Twilight Saga movies.

Daya tahan berkisar antara 6-8 jam. Sangat cocok digunakan untuk casual, office hours, sports dan beach. Dapat diterima dan disukai oleh siapa saja. Untuk kisaran umur cocok digunakan pada usia 17-28 tahun.

Prologue :

This is the first time i start on reviewing again, i’ve been hiatus for 1.5 years… The story is classic… when u already taste and sniff so many fragrances (literally) from both gender (men and women) and various classification (gourmand, citrus, floral, fruity, musk, aromatic, woods, fougere… you name it….) then you could have predict a fragrance life cycle (top, heart, base notes), sillage, longevity… And then there’s this new fragrance(s), launches today in the market… when I get a whiff of it…. arrgghh… i think this is just another tweak of “Terre”, “Coolwater”, “London”, “Light Blue”, etc… (sometimes cheaper than the original they copied, sometimes much more expensive)….

Even fragrance(s) that creating hype in the mass market…. They only change the trajectory a lil’ bit… theres nothing new there… only altered several notes on top/heart/base… add some citrus… throw some musk… give a little jasmine there… pour aquatic notes… put some sweetness… Okay… i’ve had enough… Nothing worth to add to my collection….

To sum it all… I am boring….

Then again i take my time to enjoy life…. give a chance to another nose… take an apprentice… to give a new perspective to my loyal reader…. that’s why you seeing this :

1.5 years easily slipped away, at this time i hope that many designer house (the brand that i could find in Indonesia) took the time to reinvent the wheel… to innovate… creating a top notch breed fragrance… that could make me find that flames… to feel the thrill… to start reviewing… now and again….

Just 4 days ago, an opportunity present itself… My lovely Sister Birthday is coming… the thing is i do wanna present her a fragrance, but i got some budget issue… (yeah, lots to pay, i pursue my musical interest as a guitarist, and it cost me lots… lots… of money….)

A bit tricky to choose the right fragrance that meets my criteria… it has to be cheap in terms of money… but with good quality (good scent, nice life cycle, good longevity)… Then I choose Benetton Inferno Paradiso Pink… Now, let’s take a look of what this fragrance has to offer….

Review :

Benetton Inferno Paradiso pink, saya sudah cukup lama mengenalnya, sejak 2006, namun hanya sepintas… tapi berkesan… aroma floral musk yang sangat segar dan lembut…. termasuk kategori citrus floral musk….

Dan saat ini saya sedang memegangnya, direview terlebih dahulu sebelum diserahkan sebagai kado ulang tahun (jadi efisien kan, sekalian ngado, sekalian buat bahan review)…

Semprotan pertama pun dilakukan… top notes pun menyeruakkan wanginya, hmmm… sangat mengesankan… perpaduan sempurna antara kesegeran citrus dari lemon dan orange (mirip aroma jeruk nipis) dalam porsi yang minimalis dengan nuansa dedaunan dari green leaves…. so very subtle… give peace to your mind… relaxing… i must say, this blends very well… Perfect….

Heart Notes terdiri dari Jasmine, Pink Rose, Ylang-ylang. Komposisi pada Heart Notes semakin menguatkan aroma citrus dengan hints of floral dari Jasmine, pink rose dan berbalutkan ylang-ylang… Ada nuansa aquatic yang timbul pada heart notes ini, sangat unik untuk memadukan heart notes ini dengan sea breeze (walau tidak tercantum pada notes-nya)…. I feel like standing on a very high cliff above the sea (just like the twilight saga movies, before Jacob jumping to the sea)… very refreshing….

Basenotes terdiri dari Cedarwood, Musk dan Sandalwood. Pada fase ini aroma floral mulai memudar berganti dengan keanggunan musk yang berpadu dengan cedar dan sandalwood, namun tetap menyisakan kesegaran citrus…. Membuat aromanya menjadi semakin lembut dengan hints of freshness, dries down beautifully….

Kesan yang didapatkan dari pengguna Benetton Inferno Paradiso Pink ini adalah wanita muda yang ceria, aktif namun berhati lembut - women who enjoy their freedom, speaks their minds in a respectively manner. Imagine Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan in Twilight Saga movies.

Daya tahan berkisar antara 6-8 jam. Sangat cocok digunakan untuk casual, office hours, sports dan beach. Dapat diterima dan disukai oleh siapa saja. Untuk kisaran umur cocok digunakan pada usia 15-25 tahun.

Benetton Inferno Paradiso Pink… you need to search really hard to find this type of fragrance, because its a jewel hidden in the box waiting to be found… definitely a rare breed… Some might say this give a hints of D&G Light blue… its in the same quality, same league…. but with cheaper price….

As far as my quest to find a top notch breed fragrance… this is it… it’s over… i’ve found THE ONE… a unique fragrance with its own class that makes me feel the flames and thrill to start reviewing again….

The quest isn’t about some new glamourous fragrance that launches today in the market… remember this, the newest not always better, the expensive ones not always holds its value… the designer house not always live up to their name… or the hype or anything else….

A Must Buy Fragrance and Definitely Mens Magnet. Fresh, Sensual, Relaxing, Completely Irresistible.

Pada semprotan awal Armani Diamonds cukup menarik perhatian saya dengan aroma citrusnya yang sparkling, wajar saja karena top notes ini tersusun dari bergamott,citrus, dan szechwan pepper. Beberapa detik kemudian saya mencium aroma manis yang segar, saat aroma citrus dengan cocoa bean-nya blends in.

Sensasi sparkling yang ditimbulkan diawal perlahan calm down, entering heart notes yang terdiri dari cedar dan cocoa bean yang lezat seperti coklat, yummy…it smells “DELICIOUS”.

Diamonds for Men sepertinya mencoba untuk membangkitkan gairah wanita, dengan membuat aroma tubuh Pria, semanis yang mereka suka. Yeah that’s a lot of sweet. Figur yang tepat untuk menggambarkan karakter parfum ini mungkin Josh Hartnett, ia tampak muda, kalem, dan seksi atau dalam versi Indonesia bayangkan Irfan Bachdim.

Diomonds bersinar diawal karena aroma citrusnya yang short sparkling, perlahan menyeruakkan aroma manisnya cocoa bean yang berkharisma dan lembut. Tidak dianjurkan untuk pria yang berumur diatas 40 atau yang menyukai wewangian yg tajam dan kuat.

Great for cold days, nights, romantic, clubbing also tie&dress event. It’s smooth and sweet… and the ladies ??? Ladies will definitely fall for you, mate….

Covet adalah fragrance ketiga yang dilaunch oleh Sarah Jessica Parker pada tahun 2007 setelah me-launch Lovely pada tahun 2005 dan Lovely Liquid Satin pada tahun 2006. Covet adalah fragrance yang menawarkan sensasi keharuman yang Impulsive, Indulgent, Irresistible, yang mana tercermin pada campaign ad-nya yang memuat slogan : “I’ve got to have it”. Covet is a fragrance that was supposed to express and captures impish and garrulous side of Sarah Jessica Parker.

Covet described as a classic feminine fragrance, a fougere accord (lavender, geranium, woods), with wet greens and chocolate on Top Notes, yang menawarkan sensasi keharuman yang unik. Menurut saya, sentuhan lavender as a part of fougere accord with wet greens yang membuat keharuman Covet sangat unik. Pada Heart Notes sensasi keharuman floral yang fresh, alluring, and glamorous that created from Honeysuckle and Magnolia which perfectly blends with Muguet and Michelia membuat penggunanya feels romantic. Sentuhan Cashmere Wood yang quiet dominant pada Base Notes membuat sensasi keharuman yang sensuous. It really such an Irresistible scent.

Like I mentioned before, Covet has a unique sillage thats quite moderate dengan daya tahan yang cukup long lasting if compared to Lovely which can last 8-10 hours. Kesan yang diperoleh dari pengguna Sarah Jessica Parker Covet ini adalah sosok yang Aggressive, Desirable, Glamorous and Elegant. It reminds me of Denise Richards, she just perfect to represent the scent of Covet. I hope you can enjoy the scent as much as I do.
